Job title: Quality Control Engineer
Job type: Contract
IR35 status: Inside
Start date: ASAP, subject to clearance
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: PAYE 34.07- 41.53 per hour / Umbrella 45- 55 per hour
Hours of work: 37 Hours a week/ Hybrid Working
Locations: Warrington, Bristol Newbury, Forsyth and/or Leicester

Applicants must posses the following:
* The ability to obtain SC clearance
* Good working knowledge of quality management systems ISO9001:2015
* Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
* Demonstrable and verifiable project delivery experience in large multi disciplined projects
* Experience in review of Design for Manufacture
* Formally recognised auditor qualification
* Current or Past (Mechanical):
* Personal Certification in Non-Destructive (PCN) testing in Radiographic Testing and Penetrant Test.
* Weld Inspection Qualification - CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level 2 (WI)
* NDT Experience to PCN Level 2; PT, MT, UT, RAD
* Experience as an electrical inspector in offsite electrical installation, panel/equipment fabrication and commissioning with C&G
* City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition BS7671
* City & Guilds 2356, Level 3 NVQ Electro Technical Services Installation
* City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection
* Full driving license
* Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office

Candidates would ideally have:
* Professional membership or Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
* Degree qualified in a science or engineering discipline or previous electrical or mechanical, fabrication, welding experience with associated National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ).
* Working knowledge of Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR) or Nuclear License conditions
* Formal Health and Safety management certification or qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH).
* Familiarity with using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
* Familiar with electronic workflow management systems for change control processes

Key Responsibilities:
This position requires an individual who understands the structure of a Business Management System (BMS) and the project delivery lifecycle. Is able to review and update or provide input to project delivery management documentation with reference to quality planning control activities. Is able to support problem solving or improvement activities and against an agreed assurance programme.

* Provides support to the (Senior) Quality Manager in delivering the projects quality strategy in coordination with the suppliers and delivery partners.
* Provides advice and support to the business on all aspects of quality, including the production and delivery of its quality planning and control documentation and ensuring appropriate quality levels are allocated to control of work activities.
* Provides support and advice to the project on planning to meet standards relevant to its activities.
* Provides support to the reviewing of findings from independent assurance activities.
* Supports Learning From Experience (LFE) and the delivery of Continual Improvement (CI) processes across the business.
* Ensuring any supply chain quality non-conformances (NCRs) are managed and closed out in a timely manner and supports the implementation of necessary correction and corrective actions to remedy any non-conformity found and to avoid recurrence.
* Ensuring Supplier and partner manufacturing quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / accepted in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals.
* Support to the production and review of internal and supplier Inspection and Test Plans for Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning activities.
* Monitoring performance and progress against the site quality arrangements, identifying areas of concern to the overall project and where necessary escalate to Line Management.
* Ensuring the requirements for site and manufacturing lifetime records are clearly identified and that such records are prepared and maintained, including all relevant review and approval activities, concurrently with manufacturing or site activities.
