Location: Warrington
Hours of work: 37hr working week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
-Have the ability to gain SC clearance
-Must be a British national only
-Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field
-Nuclear experience or highly regulated industry experience
-IOSH/NEBOSH qualification certificate- Formal Health and Safety management certification or qualification
-Lead auditor experience
-Extensive working knowledge of quality standards ISO9001
-Experience working within large discipline projects
-Ideally applicants should also have:
-Chartered engineer
-Non-conformity processing using 8D modelling with 5-why, fishbone/Ishikawa Root Cause Analysis or similar causal analysis methodologies and tools.
Role information:
The role exists in order to provide detailed quality assurance support to the project including developing and implementing quality arrangements across all delivery activities.
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that activities (planning, audits, reviews, assessments) are undertaken to establish the implementation and performance status monitoring of the necessary quality arrangements and the reporting of such information.
This position requires an individual who understands the structure of a Business Management System (BMS) and the project delivery lifecycle. Is able to review and update or provide input to BMS documentation and project delivery management documentation with reference to quality planning control activities. Is able to support problem solving or improvement activities and against an agreed assurance programme.
* Provides support to the (Senior) Quality Manager in delivering the projects quality strategy in coordination with the suppliers and delivery partners.
* Provides advice and support to the business on all aspects of quality, including the production and delivery of its quality planning and control documentation and ensuring appropriate quality levels are allocated to control of work activities.
* Provides support to the planning, scheduling, conducting and reporting of audits particular during design phases against the procedures and requirements detailed in the relevant plans and strategy documents.
* Provides support and advice to the project on planning to meet standards relevant to its activities.
* Provides support to the reviewing of findings from independent assurance activities.
* Supports Learning From Experience (LFE) and the delivery of Continual Improvement (CI) processes across the business.
* Ensuring any quality non-conformances (NCRs) are managed and closed out in a timely manner and supports the implementation of necessary correction and corrective actions to remedy any non-conformity found and to avoid recurrence.
* Ensuring Supplier and partner design and manufacturing quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / accepted in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals.
* Monitoring performance and progress against the site quality arrangements, identifying areas of concern to the overall project and where necessary escalate to Line Management.
* Ensuring the requirements for site and manufacturing lifetime records are clearly identified and that such records are prepared and maintained, including all relevant review and approval activities, concurrently with manufacturing or site activities.
