Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading data analytics clients! They are currently looking for a skilled QA Test Engineer to join their team for a contract until the end of August.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We are seeking a mid-senior level Quality Test Engineer with a background in both manual and automated testing to join our Cardiff based development teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use their experience of automation using Postman and other tools while also contributing to the team's manual testing requirements.

Helping define and maintain a Test Strategy
Creating automated tests for new features and maintaining existing automation packs
Carrying out functional and regression testing, both manual and automated
Contributing to the effective design of new features and solutions
Investigating, promoting, and implementing improvements over existing automation frameworks
Reporting and tracking progress bugs resolution
Integrating existing and new automated regression tests into GitHub CI/CD
Working as one team with the product owner, project management and other product development teams to deliver high quality products and enhancements

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Passionate collaborator with a focus on what is best for the team
Capable and enthusiastic technologist, able to demonstrate a broad technical knowledge
Ability to clearly document test cases so that other team members can easily understand purposes, actions, and expected outcomes
Good quality assurance (QA) experience
Strong understanding of QA methodologies
Strong knowledge of the software development process
Ability to develop and execute automated tests using tools such as Postman (or able to demonstrate suitable transferrable skills)
Experience in automating execution of test packs using CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions
Working experience in Kanban or Scrum (or in lieu of this, clear understanding of the methodologies and enthusiasm to be part of such a team)
