The Opportunity
Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. Duties included within this role, but not limited to the following (additional tasks may be given to the Quality Engineer at the discretion of the Maintenance Manager, Quality Lead or Contract Manager, if deemed appropriate):
- Responsible for conducting the function of Quality Audits across multi discipline teams
- Be prepared to support outages such as TARs and Events through work pack reviews
- Prepare and review fabrication packs and supporting Quality documentation on a daily basis
- Review and supplement mechanical and civil work packs with supporting Quality documentation when required
- Responsible for the preparation and implementation of Project Punch List / Job Completion Walkouts
- Responsible for the review of electrical, instrument, SIPS and civil work packs and documentation
- Provide Quality related technical review and support for maintenance work scopes at planning stage
- Conduct Quality support for active work scopes with routine welding inspection and mechanical quality on site and in fab shop
- Liaise with sub-vendors, Client engineers & inspection in relation to submission of documentation and QA requirements for maintenance scope
- Efficiently co-ordinate and manage document work flow between departments, vendors and client
- Manage welder qualification and weld procedures relevant to scope of work
- Actively promote Quality System awareness and work processes
- Implement Quality procedures to contract requirements
- Adhere to Client engineering specification (PSSR), Management Procedures (MP) and MEMS Workflow process (OMS 431).
- Co-ordinate and advise guidance on material certification, welding, NDT and other Quality requirements as dictated by piping specification, Client specification and industry standards and codes
- Liaise with Client, 3rd party inspectors and Task Owners in support of inspection function
- Ensure all quality documentation/records are maintained within the Clients Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP and file storage server (ECM)
- Contribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company
- Support existing, strong workshop & site HSEQ Culture
- Ability to work on challenging timelines and have the agility to readily switch focus when priorities change
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to the role through the notification of improvement activities
