QA Development Lead (ReInsurance / Insurance)

QA Development Lead (Insurance) / 550pd - 600pd / 6 month Contract (Umbrella) / Hybrid - London

A market leading Insurance company are looking for an QA Development Lead on a contract basis to support the transformation of their Global pricing capabilities

As a QA Development Lead you will develop testing strategies, both manual and automated, to support the implementation and future enhancement of my clients pricing platform. You will oversee and support the execution of tests and prepare reports for development teams to rectify defects and provide clarity to stakeholders of test coverage.

The right candidate will have Test Management experience but will also happy to be hands on with the testing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA Development team


• Collaborate with Software developers and product owners to understand the project requirements and translate them into Test plans


• Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices


• Implement QA Strategies, processes, and methodologies


• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts


• Execute and automate test cases and perform both manual and automated testing as required


• Identify and document software defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve them


• Monitor and track quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts


• Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity

Skills / Experience:

• ISTQB or ISEB certified


• Test Management experience


• Creating and Implementing Test Strategies - Both Manual and automation


• Familiarity with programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#


• Experience with test automation tools, such as Selenium or Appium


• Proficiency in test planning, test case creation / execution and defect tracking


• Strong understanding of the Software Development Processes, including Agile Methodologies
