Axon Moore have partnered with a leading manufacturing company to appoint a Purchase Ledger Controller into their expanding team. The role is ideal for a individual who has at least a few years in Purchase Ledger & is looking for a great development opportunity with a possibility to go permanent in a well-established business that has offices in more than 100 countries in the world.

Salary: up to 30,000

Location: South Manchester

Main Duties:

  Processing Purchase Invoices by 3-way match to Purchase Orders

  Processing Purchase Invoices without POs by coding them appropriately

  Managing Purchase Invoice approvals via the electronic approval software

  Processing the weekly payment run, ensuring payments are made in line with agreed terms

  Liaising with the Purchasing/Goods In teams to ensure Invoice queries are resolved promptly

  Monthly GRNI and Intercompany accruals

  Monthly Aged Creditors production

  Balance Sheet reconciliations for relevant accounts

  Management of Purchase Ledger Inbox

  Dealing with Supplier queries

  Other Ad hoc/project related work

Experience and skills:

• Experience of a few years in Purchase Ledger as must be comfortable with taking ownership of the role & with high volumes of invoices
• Confident communicator, as you will be liaising with different departments
• Intermediate to high level Excel skills
• Sage 200 would be desirable
• AAT qualifications would be desirable
• Manufacturing sector experience would be desirable
• Ability to be flexible in approach
• Team player, positive attitude & organisational skills
• Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace
