We are looking for a Project Security Compliance Officer for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (3-4 days per week on site) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Purpose of the Role:
The role sits around ensuring Project Security protocols are adhered to and are complicit within regulations. Drafting and developing Security Processes and Procedures that ensure compliance whilst enabling effective working methods.
As a Project Security Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:
- Work with programme PMO to facilitate onboarding activities including induction briefings describing security responsibilities for user.
- Drafting and developing Security Process and Procedures that ensure compliance whilst enabling effective working methods.
- Conducting and/or organising security audits/assessments to test project adherence to policies and procedures.
- Working to develop a clear implementation framework for SALs including any modifications to standard ways of working.
- Providing support and guidance to the project teams for security related activities eg ensuring that information and data assets are appropriately redacted, protectively marked and their distribution managed accordingly and ensuring that specific security policies and rules are understood and observed.
- Conducting security briefings to ensure that a culture of security awareness is maintained, and that staff understand their roles and responsibilities in respect of security.
- Issuing regular communications on security matters to ensure that staff are updated with changes in legislation or policy and the emergence of specific security issues or threats.
- Ensuring access to controlled information assets is recorded and controlled in accordance with policy. Keeping a register of the access and use security tools/reports to support monitoring of access.
What we require from the candidate:
- Holds Active SC Clearance or is eligible to receive SC Clearance.
- Experience working in Defence projects and has a demonstrable background in information assurance.
- Experience of DEFCON 649, 658, DEFSTAN 05-138 and the Cyber Security Model, Security Aspects Letters, F680 and F1686 application or ISO 27001
