p>We have an exciting opportunity for a research project manager to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team to co-ordinate a portfolio of studies related to rare conditions research.  The post holders will work across projects spanning three recently awarded Medical Research Council (MRC) Rare Disease Platform Nodes (https://opportunity/establish-an-integrated-uk-rare-disease-research-platform-nodes/) as well as support the Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Rare Conditions Theme and Manchester Rare Conditions Centre s programme of research projects. 

Working with Professors William Newman (Rare Early Onset Lower Urinary Tract (REOLUT) Disorders Node Lead and BRC Rare Conditions Theme Co-Lead), Siddharth Banka (Epigenomics Node Lead and BRC Rare Conditions Theme Co-Lead) and Ramona Moldovan (Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI) Node Lead and BRC Rare Conditions Programme Lead), the post holders will be responsible for driving forward these programmes and future translational research in the rare conditions arena.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working research project manager, ideally from a physical, biological or medical sciences background with experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects within an academic or research environment. The post holder will work across the three MRC programmes and alongside the BRC Rare Conditions team and the Manchester Rare Conditions Centre team (https://) to provide comprehensive management of projects from grant submission to study completion. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Experience of project management and a proven track record delivering research outputs for relevant stakeholders, with evidence of objectives and deliverables met is also required. Experience of genetic or rare conditions research would be advantageous.
