Gi Pro are seeking a Project Manager to join a multinational Electric company best known for its work in the Power, Renewable Energy, and Aerospace industries.

The Role:

As an experienced Project Manager, you will be required to:

  • Management of key project interface deliverables between the Client NG-SPT, 3rd parties and GE.
  • Management, coordination, planning and reporting of key consortium interface scope clients and external contractor's boundary interfaces to the project.
  • Actively coordinate the GE -SME functions to define and plan the project interfaces across engineering, construction, commissioning, operations
  • Maintain and report, coordinate the progress and KPI/SLA performances of all interface activities against contract.
  • Interface, coordinate and report between all stakeholders, to included schedule - deliverables, deviations, risk, management of change and variations.
  • Actively maintain real time interface performance measures against schedule, contract and variations.
  • Single point of accountability to own, performance manage, track and report all interface issues across engineering, procurement, schedule, risk and construction to handover stakeholders, updating through concise managed reports to project managers and the Project Director.
  • Manage the interface activities between Project leadership teams, as your stakeholder in support of their defined scope.
  • Develop and coordinate with all stakeholders an integrated schedule, raising exceptions to the Project leadership where stakeholders, contractors' activities are at risk of completion.
  • Actively influence Environmental, Health, safety and wellbeing, being a constant advocate for compliance with the GE governance and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate activities together with the Project managers and SME functions, identifying interventions and recovery plans.
  • Represent GE as the consortium lead for interface management for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining records, meetings, actions and document correspondence within the GE EGL1 documentation management structures, for contract representation as required.
  • Technical support in the development of management workstreams across the project to support delivery coordination.
  • Process review and improvement - the project is constantly looking to improve the way it completes work - the Project Interface manager will be integral in driving this
  • Apply GE detailed change control when a process, or scope interface is changed.
  • Act as the first point of contact, coordinator for queries and issues in real time for all matters effecting interface.
  • Track and record all project activities and deviations from stakeholders, reporting and managing resolution plans to mitigate risk, cost and schedule.
  • Actively support and align with GE Consortium partners and client organisation to address, plan, report and implement recovery actions.
  • Engage with key third party stakeholders effected by project works to understand their needs and concerns, taking measures to maintain effective relationships throughout the project.
  • Contribute to the project schedule of works and progress monitoring throughout the project.
  • Provide input and solutions which allow for minimal third-party impact, whilst maintaining commercially effective project delivery
  • Maintain effective relationships with third parties to avoid disputes and commercial compensation claims.
  • Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reporting to the senior management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, resolutions, and performance to enable them to effectively understand risks and impacts on the project.
  • Ensure a collaborative approach is maintained across the team to facilitate the planning and delivery of interface works, ensuring all issues are clearly understood by teams and addressed, and appropriate interventions developed and implemented.


The Person:

To be considered for the position of Project Manager it is expected that you will have:

  • 10 years within Large capital -Power- HVDC technology -EPC- development
  • Min 10 years within EPC construction, engineering, and technology interfaces
  • Min 7 years of managing large project interface management activities at senior levels.
  • Min 5yrs within a Technology -manufacturing organisation within Power/Energy sectors
  • Experience in the development EPC of large, operated facilities
  • Onshore and offshore Energy and power, or grid integration
  • Understanding of Nation grid - SPT power transportation providers project and operations organisations.
  • Knowledge of managing UK agencies and understanding of timescales and approval SLA's
  • Consortium and client interface management leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of manging and resolving contract issues in liaison with Contract managers and Project management leaders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong technical competency, and communications skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships within high value, long schedule programme contracting environments.
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines, KPIs and SLAs
  • Resilient and capable of working in a client facing role, whilst building a strong, professional relationship reputation across all stakeholders
