p>An exciting Project Manager position is now available with Manchester Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. Hybrid working is available.
What is the role?
Manchester City Council have an ambitious target to be a net zero city by 2038. To reach this goal, they are investing in programmes to target the 29% of emissions produced by transport. These include the move to electric vehicles through the provision of electric charging infrastructure.
To support these projects, the Council are now looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to lead two grant funded EV projects to the point of procurement.
Projects Overview:
- Installation of 150-200 charge points in off-street locations within council owned car parks, parking areas, parks, leisure centres, and community facilities.
- Development of additional scheme, expected to consider the gaps in charging network following first project implementation, to the point of procuring a CPO.
What experience do you need?
- An effective communicator who can promote the benefit of EVs and EV Infrastructure to diverse audiences.
- Ability to ensure projects are delivered on time and confidence to engage stakeholders face-to-face in various settings to support processes.
- Knowledge of electric vehicle charging, or background in sustainability projects, would be advantageous.
