Day rate: 400/day

Harvey Nash are recruiting for a Project Manager for a public sector client. This role will be hybrid working, with at least one day per week required on-site in Edinburgh

The rate for this role is 400/day, outside IR35. Role will require candidates hold the Right to Work in the UK, Basic Disclosure and BPSS clearance.

This role will involve delivery of digital technology projects. Key duties include:

• Manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Work with Finance colleagues and the SRO to prepare a budget for 2024/25 based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs in order to manage the agreed budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan for the project
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage delivery by assigning tasks and communicating clear expected deliverables
• Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, STEM or Business-related subject OR equivalent professional experience/accreditation
• At least 3 years of project management and related experience in digital delivery
• Experience and expertise in project methodology with Project Management certification preferred
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Knowledge and awareness of GDS and Digital Scotland Service Standards

Desirable Skills

• Experience of Digital Scotland Service Standard Assessments
• Experience of Scrum Master role
• Experience of user-centred design projects
