Talented Project Manager required to join an expanding company offering a fabulous opportunity

We are working alongside a successful London property developer who have £5 Billion worth of assets across a varied portfolio, which includes residential, commercial, hotels and considered one of the largest property owners in the West End of London. They currently have a large pipeline of ongoing project and new starts. Our client's business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing very high quality developments. They are keen to recruit an experienced and talented Project Manager to be based on a change of use from commercial to a large hotel in Central London.

The Project Manager will be responsible for day to day project management of construction projects including taking corrective action where necessary, and progressing them through to handover and final occupation.

  • To commission and liaise with contractors, architects, quantity surveyors and others to deliver the construction phase of a range of projects.
  • Project Manager will represent the organisation at external meetings
  • To liaise with other internal teams to ensure client requirements are met, resolving competing priorities and ensuring optimum efficiency in delivery.
  • The Project Manager will provide regular information and reports on progress, budget, cashflow and achievement of key milestones and project objectives.
  • To ensure risks are identified, monitored, managed and mitigated as appropriate.
  • To ensure accurate records are kept and documents filed.
  • To chair site progress meetings and produce progress reports.
  • Adopt and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, organisational policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Procurement, value for money and quality

Project Manager must be able to demonstrable expert understanding of the construction process across a range of building and tenure types

A proven track record of leading on the delivery of large, complex mixed-use construction projects

An excellent understanding of contract law and procurement practices

Demonstrable experience of effectively project managing large, high value construction schemes, adding value to schemes as part of the process

Thorough understanding of construction technology including common and emerging design and construction defects and how to avoid them.

Ability to produce and interpret KPIs and Management Information

Ability to plan and prioritise workloads

Ability to control and manage costs

Ability to interrogate and manage the professional team to ensure optimal delivery, coordinating parties to add value. Ability to work with and get results from third party contractors and consultants

Ability to produce and implement complex construction programmes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget

A minimum of 5 years experience of project managing large construction projects in a hands-on environment
