We are currently recruiting for a CARES Academy Project Manager on behalf of our public sector client based in East London.
This is a fixed-term role for 9 months; the salary range is 66,156 to 71,850.
The organisation is setting up a Social Care Academy (the CARES Academy) that aims to embed best practice across the service, through setting out a clear practice model, with a comprehensive training package for staff and a clear transparent career pathway for social work progression.
This critical role involves setting up the governance structure, managing the academy board and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the academy's successful design and delivery.
The successful applicant will hold their Prince 2, Agile or MSP qualification, with proven experience in project management within the public sector. This role would suit a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and an understanding of social care. The successful applicant will have experience in delivery high-quality project management and will have successfully developed, implemented and completed similar complex projects and programmes.
Key duties will include:
- Governance and Stakeholder Management:
Establish and manage the governance structure for the Care and Support CARES Academy. Engaging and collaborating and engaging with with social workers, senior leaders and key partners, including internal and external partners, to ensure alignment with the academy's goals and objectives
- Academy Design and Launch:
Facilitate the successful design of the Academy and ensuring it meets the needs and expectations of its target audience. Project manage the delivery of the academy's plan and oversee its successful launch in April 2024.
- Risk and Issues Management:
Identify and proactively manage risk and issues that may arise during the establishment and operation of the academy
- Workstream Leadership:
Identify and project manage relevant workstreams, which will include communication, branding, recruitment, organisational development, learning/training, systems and reporting
- Engagement with other training and learning partnerships:
Identify and collaborate with other organisations and partnerships to deliver best offer. Identify potential synergies and opportunities for joining up efforts and resources with relevant organisations and initiatives
- Outcomes Framework and Dashboard:
Facilitate the design of the academy's outcomes framework and oversee the delivery of a monitoring dashboard to track progress and impact
- Reporting:
Reporting to the Operational Director to discuss progress, findings and address any concerns and to provide updates to boards. Compile monitoring reports as required by the leadership team and the Safeguarding Partnership
- Communication:
To develop a communication strategy for internal staff and stakeholders/partners and have oversight of delivery
