Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join their dynamic team. The role holder will take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful realisation of business outcomes from complex IT programmes (typically with significant business, political, or high profile impact, and high-risk dependencies). They will identify methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective delivery control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that programme & technical deliverables are to the required standard of quality, within the constraints of time and cost as defined as part of programme & IT workstream initiation
- End to end programme delivery from response to business enquiry through to programme close down
- Responsible for overall progress and use of resources, and initiation of corrective action where required
- Responsible for managing budgets, providing accurate financial controls and reporting in line with the client’s financial cycle
- Ensure maximum probability that suppliers deliver in accordance with the contract
- Ensures a benefits realisation plan is in place and benefits are identified and trackable
- Responsible for ensuring programme outcomes are fully supported within the relevant Business and IT functions and that sign off is achieved
- Identify areas for project consolidation both within a programme and across portfolios
- Chair and lead a programme board for each programme and ensure appropriate governance is in place for each project within the programme
Requirements
