Job Description: The Production Manager role at Sensoteq involves overseeing production operations from supply chain to customer delivery within a fast-growing industrial wireless sensing company. This position requires strong leadership skills and a focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will manage production processes, coordinate teams, and ensure alignment across various departments. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for owning and improving all site Production processes
  • Responsible for planning and executing a successful Production schedule by implementing controls to meet sales demand and lead-time targets without compromising on margin or quality
  • Maintain accurate records of production outputs and inventory levels and prepare monthly reports for senior management
  • Responsible for developing, delivering and reporting key performance indicators in Production
  • Coordinate internal Production Team to reduce Production delays, optimise team efficiency, and improve customer sales experience
  • Manage the Production Team workload, priorities, goals and personal development
  • Responsible for identifying Production team resource requirements to maintain alignment with quality, health and safety, and performance goals
  • Work with the Operations manager to develop a Production strategy around resource, facilities and financial goals
  • Act as an escalation point for Production issues
  • Liaise with quality and manufacturing development to deliver cost, quality and timing improvements

Skills Required:

  • 10 years working in a product engineering or manufacturing environment
  • BEng / BSC / MSC in engineering or equivalent
  • Qualification in leadership or management (ILM/CMI L5 equivalent)
  • Experience in leading a team and controlling a budget
  • An understanding of the sales and operations planning process
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Experience creating and auditing quality procedures
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Highly skilled in communication and negotiation
  • An understanding of supply chain management
  • A passion for problem solving and continuous improvement

Were on the lookout for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee our production operations from supply chain through to customer delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment across the business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be the interface between production, sales, and engineering.
