Our client, a trusted UK Ministry of Defence partner, is seeking a skilled Product Assurance Engineer to join the Quality Supply Chain team. The engineer will support non-conformance management and audit the missile production supply chain.

The successful candidate will be able to work with our client's supply base as part of a dynamic new quality team, providing quality assurance activities.

What we're looking for:

  • Seek a professional with experience in quality management systems, techniques, and processes, particularly during the industrialisation and manufacturing phases.
  • Experience working effectively in a quality supply chain environment, with the ability to travel.
  • Auditing experience covering product and or quality system audits
  • Excellent knowledge of important external standards, such as EN9100, is necessary to maintain it properly.
  • Expertise in Quality Tools and Techniques such as 8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP.
  • Knowledge about non-conformance management processes and SAP business tools can be advantageous.
  • At a minimum, applicants must hold an HND or HNC qualification and have experience in Engineering or Quality Assurance.

What you'll get to do as a Product Assurance Engineer:

The successful candidate will help deal with a non-conformance issue with a major equipment supplier. Your task is to facilitate the defect investigation process, analyse supplier non-conformance data, identify areas for improvement, and ensure implementation within SAP. You work with internal customers to identify suppliers and schedule surveillance planning activities. You conduct quality audits and assessments, review corrective action progress, and aim to reduce project risk.
