Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to expand the business across the UK
  • Lead and mentor consultants to ensure timely, high-quality reporting
  • Oversee consultancy outputs, reviewing reports and providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to tender preparation, including proposals, budgeting, and scope development
  • Manage projects with multidisciplinary teams across various locations
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder management
  • Represent the consultancy at networking events, conferences, and business development meetings
  • Identify and secure new opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of EU and UK legislation related to ecology, environmental issues, and Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
  • Demonstrable project experience, particularly within Scotland and preferably England
  • Experience leading protected species surveys and mitigation projects
  • Proven ability to support junior ecologists in their professional development
  • Ability to expand and manage a terrestrial ecology portfolio in a consultancy setting
  • Expertise in delivering ecological advice and innovative mitigation solutions
  • Track record of securing new business opportunities and preparing bids/tenders (desirable)
  • Full CIEEM membership or eligibility (desirable)
  • Holding at least one protected species licence or qualification as an experienced botanist (FISC Level 4+) (desirable)
  • Experience leading and motivating a team (desirable)
