Role and Responsibilities:
- BEM Manufacturing Expertise: Lead the development and optimization of our Battery Electrical Module (BEM) manufacturing processes. Ensure the efficient assembly and testing of BEM components, including control units and small electrical components.
- Electronic Manufacturing Background: Utilize your background in electronic manufacturing, including experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) processes such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance BEM manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Implement best practices for electronic manufacturing, including cleanliness, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control, and high voltage circuit assembly.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and maintain stringent quality control standards for BEM production. Implement quality inspection and testing procedures to ensure product reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, R&D, and production teams, to ensure seamless integration of BEM components into our automotive systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, process workflows, and quality standards.
- Risks and issues record to be maintained in JLR systems through collaboration with JLR engineers.
- Report out of risks and issues in necessary forums
- Tracking of Issues impacting PT specific processes in conjunction with JLR GME engineers (Process, Industrial and Facilities)
- Tracking of program of responsibility (P6) or other (MS Project, P6 Oracle Cloud, etc.) Project Specific Deliverables
- Support weekly team mtgs for project progressions and impact to deliverables
- Support intersite customer and collaboration reviews
- Work to JLR procedures/processes and safety polices for deliverables installation
- Commit to working around non production periods e.g. weekends and shutdowns for deliverables installations
- Support general mgmt. reviews.
- Weekly mtgs with vendors for project progression
- Monitoring cost and timing
- Escalation to Management
- Management review mtgs of vendor performance
- Design buy-offs ( systems above)
- Manufacturing buy off & FAT at vendors premises. (systems above)
