PMO Manager - Defence/Marine
Bristol - Hybrid working.
Rate - Up to 55p/h Inside IR35
Contract length - 12 months


About the role:
Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a Large UK defence client to recruit a PMO Manager on a 12-month contract for its Bristol site. As the PMO Manager you'll be supporting and developing a vital military satellite communication system. You will support with the day-to-day management of the Project Management Office, and implementation of PC governance, processes and procedures across the programme.

The PMO Manager role comes with rate of 55p/h.


Key skills:

• APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous)
• Considerable experience in the advanced application of Project Management techniques in a relevant technical project environment across the full project lifecycle
• Experience in leading and managing a team of staff, providing direction and motivation.
• Experience in the application of SRA and EVM
• Previous experience on complex defence and/or telecommunication projects/programmes, preferably military SatCom (desirable, but not essential)
• Ability to champion high performance and inspire others.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management
• Experience working with senior level managers both internally and externally.

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the PMO Manager role:

• Base in Bristol - hybrid working (3 days a week in the office)
• Role is Inside IR35 and is paying up to 55p/h (DOE)
• Role required SC security Clerance.
• Will be a 12 month contract
