This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high profile public sector organisation as a PMO Lead on an initial 6 month contract. This role is based in London and presence on-site will be required at least 3 days per week on average.

Client Details

My client is a well-known public sector organisation undergoing major transformation within both their front line services and back office teams. They are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to provide support across their large change portfolio.

Description

The successful PMO Lead will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking a thorough discovery to understand the current state of play and existing PMO processes
  • Create and maintain an effective programme plan, gained through an understanding of the various change initiatives which are currently in-flight
  • Create and/or maintain documentation relating to change control, governance and steering committees
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings both within the programme and with external stakeholders who may have varying availability

Profile

The successful PMO Lead will possess:

  • Demonstrable previous experience as a PMO Lead or Manager within a complex environment - this does not have to be within the public sector but an understanding of environments with a high level of governance and regulation is essential
  • High level of attention to detail, ability to provide their own documentation templates where required and to pick up and maintain the work of others where this is already effective
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and desire to pull people together to ensure successful programme delivery, even when diaries are a challenge!

Job Offer

400 - 450 per day dependent on experience (rate to umbrella)

This role is inside scope of IR35

This role will require presence on client site in London at least 3 days per week on average
