A SC Cleared PMO Lead is required by our Government client to be responsible for running the programme office for two strategic transformation programmes. You will be working closely with the Programme Managers to enable the programmes to deliver the approved outcomes and benefits to time, quality, and cost, and in accordance with appropriate governance frameworks and processes. This is a senior role requiring extensive knowledge of how programmes are delivered, ability to challenge and lead conversations with senior stakeholders and support the programme managers in driving delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
. Leading and managing the reporting, benefits tracking, cost tracking, scope changes, decision logs, knowledge sharing, resource management and document management processes across the Programme
. Understanding the key risks and issues and ensuring they are being managed (including maintain the programme risks logs and actively driving completion of mitigating activities)
. Maintaining the programme plan and ensure workstreams are on track; challenging where appropriate
. Secretariat for programme boards
. Onboarding new team members and maintain the Programmes' SharePoint sites
. This is all to ensure that activities can progress as required in accordance with the Delivery Governance framework (DGf), and conflicts are managed.
. Work with the Portfolio Enablement Manager to develop and support new and revised processes for reporting/benefits management/knowledge sharing/document management/risk management
Key Skills:
. Organisational and planning skills;
. Knowledge of and experience of project and programme management processes;
. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project
. Excellent communication skills, - written, verbal, and representative;
. Strong personal effectiveness and pro-activity;
. Good analytical skills and ability to represent complex landscapes in simple diagrams, tables, dashboards and reports.
