We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading data analytics clients! They are currently looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join their team for a six-month contract.


Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We are looking for someone with strong experience and interest in full stack development and who is keen to enter a hybrid work environment, joining an established development team based in our office in Cardiff Bay.
Our teams are collaborative, forward thinking, and Agile.
In this role, you will join an established agile team whose focus is on developing our API and web-based Identity solutions, developing new features and maintaining the existing platform.

1. Developing and delivering features across the full stack (including use of modern PHP frameworks, front-end frameworks, and other tools).
2. Closely supporting the effective design of new features and solutions.
3. Contributing to the quality assurance effort, particularly through use of test automation tools (such as Cypress and Postman) and Continuous Integration tools (such as GitLab and GitHub).
4. Providing technical input and guidance to our cross-functional agile product development teams.
5. Working closely with the product owner and project management to deliver timely products and enhancements.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Capable and enthusiastic technologist, able to demonstrate a broad technical knowledge in PHP development using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel or similar).
2. Working experience in an Agile environment.
3. Strong experience with Linux.
4. Good understanding of CI/CD.
5. Experience working with and optimising use of relational databases such as MySQL or similar.
6. Experience of front-end frameworks, such as Vuejs or React.
