Are you a skilled Payroll Administrator seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute to work with a local authority?

Join a dynamic team in South East London and play a key role in shaping the future of public infrastructure projects!

Position: Payroll Administrator

Rate: 16.49 per hour

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist with the operational aspects of the Council s Payroll Service s, processes and procedures.
  • To contribute to ensuring that over 10,000 staff are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To support the service undertaking a range of administrative activities in the day to day operation of the Service.
  • Act as a first point of contact for Payroll, responding to correspondence, telephone, electronic mail and queries from customers.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years experience within a Payroll Officer role or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience, in particular gained within a financial environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), in particular when resolving complaints and other matters.
