Paediatric Nurse complex care. (Cover required for a minimum of 3 months)

Location-Doncaster

Qualifications needed:

-Diploma in children's/paediatric nursing.

-Minimum 3 months experience in infant complex care. 

-Experience in Tracheostomy care.

-Experience in NG Feeds

-Medication Administration.

Who will you be caring for?

-A 9 month old boy.

About the package 

He requires over night care and support. 

The package has no end date as yet but could be approximately 3 months, maybe longer. 

What is the service users primary health diagnosis and how does this effect him?

-Pfeiffer Syndrome VP Shunt, Craniosynostosis Multiple crano-facial surgeries and plans for more in the future. 

-Tracheostomy 3.5 Cuffed 

-Ng fed 

What are the service users other health conditions and how do these effect him?

-He has fused elbows and knees.  

-He has a tracheostomy tube in situ that requires frequent essential interventions (additional to routine care)  by a fully trained nurse, to maintain his airway. 

-3.5 Bivona cuffed tracheostomy tube, requiring 4-6 hourly nebulisers. 

-NG feeds 

-Needs prompting or assistance to communicate his needs.  

-Special effort may be needed to ensure accurate interpretation of needs or may need additional support visually either through touch or with hearing.  

-Administration of medication 

-Deafness on left side 

Shift pattern

-10pm-8am

-Monday to Sunday (7 days a week)

Pay rate

-Mon to Fri nights 50 per hour ltd company

-Weekend nights 70 per hours ltd company
