My client requires a P6 Planner to join an experienced team working on a large engineering project based in Cardiff, Wales.
Salary 400 - 500 based on experience
Long term contract role, based in Cardiff, Wales.
"Outside IR35" + Weekly Payments + Long Term Contract
The position will require someone to work five days a week in Cardiff working alongside an experienced project delivery and commercial team.
Our client is a well-established consultancy that is working client side to deliver a large scale project which is scheduled to finish in 2 3 years time.
As a direct result of continued and sustained growth the business is actively looking to recruit an experienced P6 Planner to take a lead on an active project.
The Planner role will require someone to have knowledge of construction, MEP works and be able to carry out the duties below.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Set up new programmes working alongside the delivery and commercial teams
- Provide planning and resource support throughout the business reporting into the Director
- Prepare, monitor, co-ordinate and maintain detailed project schedules encompassing design, construction
- Regular liaison with client, project teams, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Ensure that all schedules adhere to contractual requirements working closely with the commercial team
- Ensure that the programs are fully monitored during the entire project life cycle (planning through to execution)
- Have a good working knowledge of NEC3 contracts
- Maintain schedule, updating program, identifying any delays and forming good relationships with Tier 1 clients
- Ensure that head office requirements are fully understood and integrated into the planning functions
- Identification & implementation of project planning processes & procedures
Desired Experience:
- Experience taking a Lead role as a Planner
- Extensive program experience within a project based team
- Experienced user of Primavera, P6
- Experience within either MEP or Construction sectors
- Experience on NEC3 contracts
