Job Description: The Oracle Simphony Support Consultant will serve as the primary expert for Oracle Simphony POS support, collaborating with IT, operations, and external vendors to ensure system stability and manage configuration changes. The role involves providing 2nd/3rd line support, monitoring system performance, and assisting with updates across multiple locations. The consultant will also maintain documentation and support new venue rollouts and system integrations. This position is contract-based and requires proven experience with Oracle Simphony systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Oracle Simphony POS issues across the business.
  • Carry out low-level configuration tasks (e.g. menu updates, price changes, UI layout tweaks).
  • Coordinate and push configuration changes and updates across multiple locations.
  • Monitor POS system health and performance; identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure and service desk teams to triage and escalate issues.
  • Liaise with Oracle and implementation partners where needed for bug fixes and upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and change logs.
  • Assist with rollouts of new venues, upgrades, or system integrations (e.g. payments, kitchen display systems).

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience supporting Oracle Simphony POS systems (cloud or on-prem).
  • Hands-on experience with Simphony configuration—ideally within a multi-site environment.
  • Familiarity with EMC (Enterprise Management Console) and reporting modules.
  • Basic understanding of networking, databases, and hospitality tech stack.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with OPERA PMS or Oracle Hospitality integrations (nice to have).
