This Operational Advisor (Admin Officer) post is responsible for aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Treasury. This role forms part of the Governance & Operational Finance team which has a focus on:
- the management and control of all transactional processing (accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and payroll)
- production of the returns, annual accounts and other statutory returns
- managing the design, implementation and supervision of financial controls to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of systems and processes
Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:
- Dealing with payroll updates, conducting variance checks
- Processing manual expenses claims
- Making supplier payments
- Posting bank transactions and income
- Credit Control
- Routine and non-routine enquires in all areas
Essential Skills include:
- Proven administrative experience within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Practical experience working in a finance role in at least two of the following areas: Sales Ledger; Purchase Ledger; Payroll; Treasury & Expenses.
- Experience and knowledge of core accounting principles including basic reconciliations and the preparation of journals
- Ability to produce complex spreadsheets, and support management in the production and dissemination of routine reports as needed
- HNC in business administration, or SCQF Level 7 equivalence via Professional Development Awards; Higher Education Certificates; Modern Apprenticeships; and SVQs
