We are seeking a qualified individual to lead its Occupational Therapy (OT) service in the Birmingham area, working with a very welcoming team who will give you the ability to progress your career. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to local and national standards, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and providing specialized OT assessment and treatment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with local and national standards in OT services.
Collaborate with other Service Leads in OT.
Lead the development and review of local policies for a high-quality OT service.
Manage and coordinate day-to-day OT service delivery.
Conduct regular clinical audits and research for service improvement.
Manage the OT team, providing clinical supervision and implementing a supervision structure.
Lead and participate in clinical work, promoting high standards of expertise.
Identify and address professional and operational issues at a strategic level.
Act as an expert resource on OT, providing support to the team, students, and the multi-disciplinary team.
Undertake specialist clinical assessments as required.
Lead site service quality improvement initiatives.
Allocate and prioritize workload for OT staff efficiently.
Implement changes in work structure within the OT team.
Lead the appraisal process across the team.
Manage recruitment for OT staff vacancies.
Act as an assessor for recruitment in other teams when appropriate.
Direct and motivate staff through training and developmental activities.
Oversee student placements within the OT team.
Conduct internal investigations when required.
Attend and represent OT at Clinical Governance meetings.
Manage identified budget responsibilities related to the role.
