Job Responsibilities: Network Engineer

Join our consultancy as a Network Engineer and play a crucial role in driving key infrastructure initiatives, ensuring the optimal performance and security of the network within the financial institution's IT landscape. As part of our team, you will provide strategic guidance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain the highest standards of technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain advanced network architectures, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and Cloud connectivity technologies, ensuring efficient and secure operations.

  • Routing Protocols: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and effectively manage inter-protocol distribution.

  • Data Center Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge about Data Center architecture and implementation, actively contributing to its functioning and operational success.

  • Cisco Devices Management: Manage Cisco Routers/Switches, ensuring software maintenance, upgrades, and overall performance optimization.

  • Multivendor Infrastructure: Utilize solid experience to manage multivendor DC infrastructure within a financial institution, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.

  • Security Expertise: Implement and manage Firewall technology, including Tetration, and ensure dynamic routing through Firewalls.

  • Program and Project Delivery: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering programs and projects related to core infrastructure.

  • Vendor Management: Effectively deal with vendors and third-party suppliers, building strong partnerships for successful project outcomes.

  • 24/7 Production Environment: Manage and oversee a 24/7 production environment, ensuring continuous operations and addressing any network-related issues promptly.

  • Disaster Recovery: Contribute to comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, ensuring the resilience of the network infrastructure.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills for network problems, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact.

  • Technology Proficiency: Exhibit expertise in top technologies including Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Routing, and Network Security.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls, Checkpoint Firewalls, and Cisco Switches.

  • In-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VRFs, Multicast, and Network Security.

  • Experience with Cisco Routers/Switches management, including software maintenance and upgrades.

  • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, MPLS, and Cloud connectivity technologies.

  • Proven experience in managing multivendor DC infrastructure within a financial institution.

  • Familiarity with Tetration, Firewall technology, and dynamic routing through Firewalls.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for network problems.

  • Proven track record of delivering programs and projects related to core infrastructure.

  • Experience in dealing with vendors and third-party suppliers.

  • Ability to work in a 24/7 production environment.
