Network Architect is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 6 months contract, to be based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • The successful applicant will be an experienced Network Architect
  • Experience of independently implementing LAN networks and infrastructure patching following design specifications and resolving issues.
  • The provision of comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.
  • Meets project deadlines and costs within own scope of responsibility.
  • Errors with workarounds or fixes provided in a timely manner.
  • Changes to service, process, organisation, operating model and other aspects may be required in addition to technology components, and solutions must demonstrate how agreed requirements (such as automation of business processes) are met, any requirements which are not fully met or, and any options or considerations which require a business decision.
  • We are looking for a network architect to work as part of a multi skilled agile team, including security, service and management where teamwork is paramount.
  • Providing varied and complex technical support activities as part of project deployment, including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance.
  • Advise project SME on preventive maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Technical implementation of medium to large infrastructures to timescale estimates and identifying risks.
  • Work within a technical framework of the project to meet customer requirements.
  • Works within a team with in-depth product knowledge without supervision to implement technical best practice.
  • Manages systems within SLA, proposing, identifying improvements and implementing changes to meet service level requirements.
  • Excellent client facing experience
