Job Description



Network Architect (Cisco/Juniper) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 12 months rolling contract (taken in 6 month stints), to be based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • The successful applicant will be an experienced Network Architect
  • Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilising technologies from global network vendors such as Cisco and Juniper, including production of quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support.
  • Strong technical networking knowledge with industry recognised network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA-Design or JNCIA-Junos, or equivalent.
  • Able to create non-standard solutions that may incorporate any of the following: LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber and Security technologies.
  • Solid understanding of project end to end life cycle, through initial requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance into Service (AiS), including good commercial and financial awareness in terms of understanding risks and dependencies associated with any delivery project.
  • The Network Architect will provide technical leadership within a project, understanding the business and technical requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of understanding the customers' business/technical requirements and issues and producing solid network solutions.
  • Able to support project management with any reporting, and to ensure timely project delivery that meets the customers expectation.
  • As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering medium to large network solutions to enable services for end customers that are cost-effective.
  • The Network Architect will be responsible for producing the technical impact solution, the relevant design collateral, including passing any governance reviews, and ensuring effective technical delivery.
  • Excellent client facing experience.
