Job Description: The Mobile Measurement Technician role in Liverpool involves operating advanced metrology hardware and software to ensure precision in automotive measurements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate advanced metrology hardware across multiple locations.
  • Use metrology software (e.g., GOM, Polyworks) to create and execute detailed measurement programs.
  • Generate precise inspection reports in various formats including PDF, Excel, and STL.
  • Investigate part measurement discrepancies and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Perform machine verification and support preventative maintenance activities.
  • Follow defined measurement instructions and complete tasks to high standards and tight deadlines.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in mobile inspection and metrology techniques.
  • Strong understanding of measurement principles, alignments, and GD&T.
  • Proficient in using a range of metrology tools such as GOM systems, laser trackers, articulated arms, and Creaform equipment.
  • Skilled in delivering high-standard inspection reports and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Experience with BIW (Body-in-White) and Trim & Final part inspections.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
