Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace Officer - 350 p/d Inside IR35

As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will play a leading role in the design and
Delivery of solutions to our customers. You will bring your experience and have a
Passion for cloud services and innovation with a focus on Modern Workplace
Collaboration technology.

- Location: Birmingham (2 days on site per week minimum)
- Rate: 350 p/d Inside IR35
- Contract: 3 month Initial (Likely extensions up to 18 months +

The role will require dealing with customers/users at all levels within the
Organisation, so strong verbal and written (e-mail) communication skills will be
Required, along with a focus on providing excellent customer service. You will also be
required to work alongside our Service Desk where you will complete Incidents &
Service Requests to agreed SLAs.

You will be responsible for implementing projects for end customers. The focus is on
Modern Workplace deployments featuring migrations to Office365 and third-party
hosted cloud-based services, Single Sign-on, Azure Hosting, Azure Active Directory,
Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, the Power Platform and SharePoint
Online.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Technical design, proposal writing and implementation of Microsoft/Office 365 solutions.
  • Leading technical workshops covering Modern Workplace technologies.
  • Commitment to staying up to date with new to market technologies to deliver industry best-practice service offerings.
  • Delivery of technology specific presentations to both large and smaller workshop environments. Work with Project Managers to deliver projects and convert requirements into real life solutions.
  • Experience of low-level scoping of solutions, establishing stakeholder requirements and implementing Office365 hybrid Solutions.
  • Provide guidance and help solving technical problems.
  • Be aware of ITIL service delivery and operational processes to ensure projects are transitioned carefully into the production environment.
  • Suggest improvements to achieve efficiency and be the 'go-to' person for Modern Workplace implementation & integration.
  • Responsible for High and Low-level design within the Modern Workspace Technology space.

    The post holder will need to have technical expertise in the following areas, gained in previous 3rd-line support or system administrator roles. Technical/Practical experience of Microsoft technologies including:

  • Office 365
  • SharePoint Online (Development/Deployment & implementation). Essential
  • Exchange Online/Hybrid. Essential
  • OneDrive for Business. Essential
  • Intune. (Configure Profiles, Compliance Policies, Enrolment) Desirable
  • Azure AD Connect/Multifactor Authentication/Conditional Access Essential
  • Digital Signage. Desirable
  • Microsoft Teams Room Systems. (Audio/Visual) Essential
  • Unified Communications/Telephony/Voice. Desirable
  • Power Platform/Power Automate/Power Apps/PowerShell. Essential
  • PowerShell and Scripting. Essential
  • Microsoft 365 E5 Security and Compliance SKU. Essential
  • Managing Group Policy/Active Directory. Essential
  • Microsoft windows server 2016/2019. Essential
  • Single Sign for Hosted platforms Oracle/Windows - Essential
  • Direct Access/AOVPN - Desirable
  • Power Bi Gateway - Desirable
  • PKI Infrastructure - Desirable
