Job Description: The Mechanical Site Manager will oversee mechanical installations on a commercial or industrial project, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The role requires effective management of site operations, coordination of mechanical services, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team and other trades to facilitate smooth project delivery. Proven experience in a similar role is essential, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day mechanical site operations, including labour and subcontractors
  • Coordinate mechanical services (HVAC, pipework, plantroom installations, etc.)
  • Ensure health & safety compliance on-site (RAMS, permits, toolboxes, etc.)
  • Work closely with the project team to monitor progress against programme
  • Liaise with other trades and disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Attend site meetings, contribute to reporting, and resolve technical issues
  • Manage materials and deliveries to site
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings
  • Support commissioning and handover process

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager on commercial or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card (Management level preferred)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and coordinate effectively with other trades
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Desirable: First Aid at Work
