Job Profile

A new and exciting role has just become available for a keen, motivated, confident, and technically experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector, to join the team in the Quality department.

If you are looking to take on new challenges and strive to be the best in complex multi-axis machining and are always looking to break the norm of conventional cutting methods and implement new high-speed machining techniques, then we want to hear from you!

Duties

  • Quality Inspection - 1st off, Final Article and Production Inspection.
  • Working with manual measuring equipment such as Micrometres, Vernier, Gauges.
  • CMM experience would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
  • FAIRs to Aerospace standards

Skills & Attributes

  • Able to read technical drawings.
  • Experience of operating CMMs is desired but not essential.
  • Background in a Precision Engineering environment as a Mechanical Quality Inspector is essential.
  • Experience using manual measuring equipment to tight tolerances, such as Micrometres, Verniers and Gauges.
  • Previous experience in a subcontract manufacturing environment would be ideal.
  • A methodical and systematic approach to tasks.
  • Good communicator, verbally and written.
  • Keen attention to detail and focused on driving results.

Hours Of Work

  • 39hrs per week.
  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm and Friday 7.30am - 3pm.
  • Lots of overtime available, paid at x1.25hrs weekdays and x1.5hrs Saturdays.

    • After 2 years' - 22 days.
    • 3 years' service - 23 days.
    • Service between 5 - 10 years - 24 days.
    • Service between 10 - 15 years - 25 days.
    • Service between 15 - 20 + years - 26 days maximum
