Job title: Mechanical Fitter - Motors / Rotors

Job location: Widnes

Shifts: Mornings / Afternoons (Beginning on Days - on shifts when competent)

Payrate: 24.46 per hour (First 12 weeks)- Rises to 25.01 (Umbrella)

Hours per week: 37 hours per week.

Duration: 12 Months

Start date: Immediate

Client Summary:
Working for Alstom - The UKs leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products and rolling stock based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of expertise include Motor Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and refurbishment of Jubilee Line Underground trains.

Position Summary:
Refitting and assembling Motors / Rotors within the Rail industry. You will be working in teams to breakdown and assemble mechanical systems.

Roles can include:
* Fit and refurbishment of Rolling, motors and rotors. - Jubilee Line Refurbishment
* Fitting newly re-furbished motors / rotors and all components
* Working from engineering drawings to replace and refit components.

Person Profile/Experience:
* A confident engineering background is required.
* People from machining/ large engine's / rolling stock assembly / REME / automation etc. backgrounds ideal.
* Understanding of engines / hydraulics / pneumatics in plant or heavy good ideal.
* Good attitude and willing to work flexibly (overtime available)

Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 (or similar in engineering)
