Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Consultant (Aerospace)

Project Duration: 12 months

Location: Isle of Wight, UK

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Consultant for a 12-month project based on-site on the Isle of Wight. The consultant will play a crucial role in the development and deployment of robust, repeatable, and reliable manufacturing solutions, ensuring they meet exacting engineering requirements. This role is vital in providing Manufacturing Engineering expertise to both operational and development programmes, with the aim of delivering zero-defect projects through exceptional engineering and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with various departments, including operational shop floor areas, to develop, create, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes, which will be documented as manufacturing build instructions.
• Employing problem-solving techniques and tools to address and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Managing and implementing changes in manufacturing processes in a robust and controlled manner.
• Providing strong support and interaction with different business areas, including Operations, covering clean areas, autoclaves, machining, non-destructive testing (NDT), painting, and assembly.

Consultant Attributes:

• Proven experience in the Aerospace industry.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with various composite processes, preferably with a focus on prepregs.
• Demonstrated ability in problem-solving within a manufacturing context.
• Experience in generating and managing Manufacturing Build Instructions.
