Job title: Management Accountant

Location: Ewloe/Hybrid

Duration: 6 months initially

The role:

The Commercial Finance team plays a critical role in our business, partnering with senior leaders and their teams to provide clear and accurate planning and forecasting, helping to ensure our commercial success and achieve our mission of 'helping every household make the most of their money'.

Responsibilities:

  • Month end/ management accounting tasks for Payroll/people costs & IT costs lines (Accruals, actualising forecast files, cost centre coding checks/corrections, workday approvals, commentary).
  • Regular review of accruals and prepayments for assigned area - highlighting risks and opportunities where appropriate.
  • Business Partnering - work with & challenge cost centre managers/ key stakeholders to provide a clear view of expected actuals and forecast, with clear view of any variances.
  • Providing future insights into any potential opportunities/risks through interaction with the business.
  • Act as cover where required for people costs/ IT cost accounting and associated processes.
  • Supporting monthly reporting production, validation and reviews.
  • Mth end reporting - including lead role in running & supporting distribution of mthly exec/GM reports.
  • Support analytical outputs required by FBP as part of quarterly forecast cycle.
  • Cover critical processes within month end and quarterly forecast processes as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to plan ahead to deliver against challenging deadlines.
  • Proactive demeanour with the ability to offer constructive advice or solutions.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage own workload and conflicting priorities including stakeholder management.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data in a commercial context.
  • Experience of stakeholder management at different levels of the organisation
