The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Davies Consulting as a Management Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day to day financial activities of the business unit.
You'll work closely with colleagues in the Finance team within Davies Consulting as well as the Consulting Delivery Team and the Davies HR department to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the business units financials. You'll support Davies Consulting with various reporting up to Divisional Leadership and to Davies Group reporting includes Cashflow, Client Revenue Tracking and Revenue Forecasting.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving month end revenue
- Processing month end journals accruals, prepayments, accrued revenue etc.
- Reconciling the balance sheet
- Cashflow forecasting
- Analysis of revenue by client/project
- Ownership of the revenue forecast and pipeline
- Analysis of Capex and exceptional items
- Drafting month end financial reports
- Investigate and resolve issues/queries
- Accounts Payable/Receivable activities
- Ad hoc reporting
Key skills and experience required
- Part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or QBE is essential
- Highly numerate with a high level of IT literacy
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience in using accounting software
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Preferable experience in a Consulting company
