Nonstop Care is working with a local authority in North East London that is looking for an experienced social worker to join their Looked after Children Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive authority where you can make a real difference in the lives of looked after children. With little court work involved, you will have the chance to focus on directly supporting vulnerable children and families.

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be in charge of handling a manageable caseload, working with Children in Care, and getting involved in:

  • Utilising various assessment and intervention frameworks effectively
  • Providing expert guidance and advice
  • Working closely with children and young people aged 0-18 being looked after

Requirements:

  • Hold a professional Social Work qualification and registration (SWE)
  • Have the ability to assess and manage risk, with a focus on service-users' safety and well-being
  • Post-qualified experience ideally across Children in Care and/or leaving care teams
  • Clear, Enhanced DBS
