People Source Consulting are currently seeking a Lead Solutions Architect (LSA), with a background in Defence Delivery within Cyber and Cryptography to take on a 12 month Corsham Based contract.

Reporting the Head of Solution Architecture the Lead Solution Architect (LSA) will be the SME in Cyber Security/Crypto topics, responsible for the Assurance, Rationalisation, Coherence of Programmes and Projects within Defence Digital. Working closely with both Enterprise and technical Architect to ensure each P&P has a Business Architecture (clearly defined and approved Vision, Capability, Services, requirement sets and Target Start Architecture).

General responsibilities include:

• Ensuring and assuring technical rigor in architectures and procurements, by applying deep subject matter expertise and extensive industry knowledge.
• An excellent knowledge of MOD technologies and the ability to adapt these to the environment.
• Ability to define and analyse user requirements and advise on scope and options for business and operational improvements.
• Ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Prepares and delivers briefings and presentations for project teams, management and customers as appropriate.
• Proven ability to architect application solutions through mapping both user and business service solutions requirements right through to providing leadership in the implementation of those solutions into technology agnostic service management solutions; Takes responsibility for the integrity of the solution areas that are his/her responsibility
• The Lead Solution Architect will have good working knowledge across all the five POPIT (Process, Organisation, People, Information, Technology) channel disciplines.
• Demonstrable experience of working as the Solution Owner and ability to lead and drive the solution to delivery.
• Supporting ISS in challenging industry suppliers (new and current), to assimilate best practice, evergreen their services and to design and implement for maximum benefit and performance within the Defence ICT Estate.
• Promoting industry best practice in technology and tools within each of their specialist disciplines.
• Ensuring coherence in the use of tools and technologies, including reuse rather than duplication where appropriate.
• Representing appropriate technology choices, options and risks and issues to be considered to the Design Authority Board.
• Actively supporting the up-skilling of crown servants and documentation to enable ISS' Architects to become autonomous in these skills and capabilities over time.

Due to the Nature of the work, DV Clearance must be held prior to work starting. As such candidates should hold active, Live Developed Vetting OR be eligible and willing to undertake Developed Vetting as a minimum requirement.

In Return:

• 750 - 950pd (Outside of IR35)
• Corsham base Location with Flexible working (Likely 1-2 days pw onsite)
• Contract until end of March 2025
