Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the inspection team and supporting newer team members
- Managing the inspection schedule, throughput, and prioritization process
- Preparing First Article Inspection Reports
- Conducting first-off inspections
- Performing visual, documentation, and packaging checks
- Executing part serialization checks
- Conducting dimensional inspections
- Utilizing CMM for inspections
- Suggesting and supporting department improvement initiatives
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on inspection experience with mechanical tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM)
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, and approving FAIs to AS9102
- Open and supportive nature to maximize team potential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet stringent deadlines
- Located within a commutable distance of Nottingham
