Description
The successful Junior Data Analyst - Advanced Excel Specialist - Contract will be responsible for:
- Utilising Power Pivots, Power Query, VBA coding within excel to manipulate, automate and prepare data for key cyclical projects, ie Annual Salary Review and Talent Review
- To understand and be able to problem solve data requests, in order to simplify processes and assist the automisation of data where possible
- Frequently audit data to ensure the data is of high quality, spot checking for errors and working collaboratively with relevant colleagues to problem solve issues
- Assist with the data collection for miscellaneous projects and ad-hoc requests
- Understand how to communicate and simplify data problems in a way that's meaningful and simple to understand for all colleagues, regardless of their data skills
- Store, manage and share data securely in a complementary manner
- Up skill People team members and knowledge transfer to enable team to manage data processes independently
- Assist the gathering and presentation of findings of Annual Salary & Talent Reviews on Powerpoint slide decks
- Assist if needed with the maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports and dashboard administration for key drivers of our business on behalf of the Operations and Projects team.
- If required work with the Data Analyst to drive project plans automating analytic
Profile
The successful Junior Data Analyst - Advanced Excel Specialist - Contract will have:
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence in VBA coding, Power Pivots or Power Query
- Intermediate Powerepoint Presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure to short deadlines and with conflicting priorities
- Logical and analytical mind set and approach to problem solving
- Takes ownership of work with minimum supervision, adhering to tight timelines to fit the changing scope of the business.
- Ability to interpret data, notice trends and tell a story
- Passion for data and analysis
- Enjoys the challenge of solving data problems in excel to ensure ready to go out to business to make strategic decisions.
- Brilliant accuracy and eye for detail
- Able to confidently explain data process and knowledge transfer
- Has a team mind set, happy to assist with various tasks to ensure the success of the team

Job Offer
This is an opportunity to work as a Junior Data Analyst - Advanced Excel Specialist - Contract for one of the largest electronic and IT conglomerates across the globe.
Contract Length: 10 month Contract
Day Rate: 180 - 200 PAYE
