My customer's looking for a dedicated 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to help with issues up to L2.
You'll be supporting a manufacturing site for a global customer managing local and physical issues with remote support from specialist teams.
The customer operates a Central Support Desk which is a user's first point of call with this role managing any requirements they can't.
The customer has 2 sites in the UK so you'll have counterpart who will be able to support you if required but you'll be the single IT Engineer on site.
The environment is very process driven so you'll need to document all work done. The right person will be process driven and have basic/intermediate level knowledge of Infrastructure (Servers, storage, VMs) and Networking (Cisco, Switches, Routers)
This role will require you to be onsite, 5 days a week in Wakefield for the duration of the 12-month contract.
Primary day to day responsibilities will for the 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer will include:
- Previous experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer role focused on Microsoft Stack.
- Windows 10 - Administration and Support
- Storage (Veeam)
- Knowledge around Infrastructure (Servers, storage, VMs)
- Office 365 - Administration and Support
- Active Directory experience
- Basic Networking: Group policy, TCP/IP, DNS experience, switching, routing, Cisco.
- Experience escalating issue and acting as smart hands to facilitate solutions.
- Previous experience working with ticketing systems.
This is a 12 -month contract, 5 days a week onsite in Wakefield for the duration of the 12-month contract.
