p>IT Support Analyst - 14.36 per hour, 08:30 to 16:30 Mon-Fri, To Start ASAP, Temporary to permanent, NP18 Newport, On-site Parking, Holiday, Pension plus more

We have an immediate required for a IT Support Analyst to join our client based in Newport. Our client are a leading global manufacturing business who supply to the defence and technology industries - initially the role will focus on building and repairing laptops and working as part of a small team. You will also be supporting colleagues across multiple departments with the aim to respond timely to requests.

IT support analyst day to day duties include :

    • Provide excellent Customer Service through professional and consistent support by taking ownership at a 2nd line support level ensuring full customer satisfaction is achieved and completing related IT documentation
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose IT problems reported via ticketing system, and other methods of communication
    • Build and repair Laptops and resetting passwords
    • Follow SOP's and other processes/procedures where appropriate
    • Manage end user hardware including setup, repair, and troubleshooting
    • Printer and copier basic support, responding to consumable usage alerts and replacing when needed
    • Mobile phone setup and support (iOS, Android)
    • Ensure general tidiness of IT desks, IT area, LAN and build rooms.
    • Network troubleshooting including track and trace to wall port then switch port for reporting to 3rd line
    • Manage application-based permissions across applications estate
    • Assist with ensuring stock levels of IT equipment are maintained

The successful candidate will hold a 1st or 2nd line IT support background, have experience in actioning tickets, be comfortable communicating via telephone, email and face to face, be proficient within Microsoft office and demonstrate strong problem solving skills. In addition our client would welcome applications from people who have worked in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
