Marks Sattin are working with an innovative business based in Coventry who are going through a really exciting time of growth. As such, my client is seeking an Interim Finance Shared Services Manager on a 6 month temporary basis where an opportunity to go permanent is very much an option. The position is a hybrid working work, with three days expected in their Coventry office.

The Interim Finance Shared Services Manager will lead the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, ensuring weekly and monthly KPI's are met. You will also ensure high levels of motivation within the team to drive and continue the business ethos when it comes to their people.

The Finance Shared Services Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Accounts Payable Specialists in the timely processing of all invoices received
  • Leading a team of Accounts Receivable Specialists to ensure that credit control is running smoothly and meeting business requirements
  • Proactively managing the relationship with customers and suppliers and assist the team with any queries they may have
  • Ensuring monthly KPI's are met on a weekly basis
  • Monitoring team processes and implementing changes where needed to support the teams and the business
  • Ensure key reconciliations are performed to necessary standards and timelines
  • Identifying and assisting in the implementation of opportunities to streamline and automate processes
  • Providing data for management accounts, forecasts, budgets and other ad-hoc reports within deadlines, or a timely manner
  • Supporting any annual audit requirements and providing relevant information to ensure an effective audit
  • Wider finance team and ad-hoc project support as required

To be considered you must:

  • Have experience in a similar role (e.g. Finance Shared Services Manager/Team Leader, Transactional Finance Manager, Finance Operations Manager etc.)
  • Able to lead to tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload effectively whilst maintaining a high standard of work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, showing a high attention to detail.
  • People leadership experience with the ability to support, coach and mentor.
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to be pro-active and challenge others, or escalate to others, where appropriate.
  • Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work with people across the organisation and at different levels.
