Job Description: The Interim Finance Manager role involves overseeing daily financial operations for a rapidly expanding media company during a critical transitional period. This hands-on position is designed for an immediately available candidate to ensure strong financial control across the organization for an initial 3–4 month contract. The role requires managing various financial processes, including payroll, stock accounting, and VAT compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong finance experience, particularly within the media, retail, or hospitality sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet to ensure accuracy
- Oversee payroll processes and manage relationships with external providers
- Manage stock accounting and support inventory controls
- Handle VAT returns and ensure ongoing compliance
- Support month-end close and prepare management accounts
- Manage and support the Accounts Payable Manager and AP function
Skills Required:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong finance experience within media, retail or hospitality sectors, ideally in a multisite environment
- In-depth knowledge of core financial processes including stock, payroll, and VAT
- Confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Immediately available or on short notice
