Job Description: The Interim Assistant Company Secretary will join a leading national charity's governance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and, where necessary, deputise for the Company Secretary at Board, Committee, and Council meetings

- Maintain statutory registers and ensure timely submissions to Companies House, the Charity Commission, and other regulatory bodies
- Contribute to the preparation and approval process of the Annual Report and Accounts
- Provide clear and timely governance advice to internal stakeholders
- Assist with trustee recruitment, AGM preparation, and delivery of charity and subsidiary meetings
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and ensure continued compliance
- Support the management of the organisation’s board portal (Diligent)
- Assist with the ongoing governance review and implementation of best practice procedures
Skills Required:
- Part- or fully qualified Company Secretary (CGI/ICSA), or Law graduate with a minimum of two years’ company secretarial experience
