I&T SAP Senior Project Manager
6 month contract (liklihood of extension)
Rate 750 - 950/day

Based - Capenhurst/ Stoke Poges
Hybrid - 2/3 days a week on site
JOB PURPOSE
This role entails direct responsibility for:
- Managing and communicating technology change within key business groups and stakeholders.
- Taking a system-wide view of change initiatives and assessing business impact and value.
- Delivering IT projects within set timelines, budgets, and quality standards, either through direct management or overseeing third-party suppliers.
- Ensuring adherence to the organization's IT project lifecycle approach.
- Managing multiple projects within the portfolio to optimize resource utilization and ensure timely responses to project demands.
- Ensuring successful delivery within the portfolio, with a focus on achieving business outcomes and benefits.
- Reporting on and assessing the health of IT projects.
- Supervising and overseeing the work of other Project Managers as needed.
JOB DIMENSIONS
This job may encompass any area of change work within the I&T Organization. The scope includes around 5-10 concurrent projects, depending on scale and complexity.
ORGANISATIONAL & JOB CONTEXT
This role operates within Group and Site contexts, delivering the Change Portfolio for I&T. It utilizes the Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform for project data management. The role involves making decisions in various areas, including prioritization, benefits evaluation, vendor performance assessment, test management, resource identification, and compliance with policies and regulations.
TYPICAL / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of IT projects.
- Provide visibility of project status to company management and manage associated project data.
- Enforce adherence to IT project delivery processes, gates, and documentation standards.
- Consistently estimate and price projects, controlling spend within approved budgets.
- Identify, assess, and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and changes.
- Plan and execute testing, support effective transition of project outputs, and implement business change management.
- Onboard and manage vendors according to master contracts and project-specific Statements of Work.
- Review and enhance delivery processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Degree level education or an industry-recognized project/program management qualification (PMP/PRINCE2).
- Security clearance to SC level.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Proven track record in successful project delivery and benefits realization (budget approx. 1-3M p.a.).
- Accountability for own work and work of others.
- Experience in directing day-to-day work within a specific remit.
- Experience in delivering change in an SAP ECC6 landscape through standalone projects and releases.
SPECIFIC KNOW-HOW AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Broad functional knowledge of current IT technologies, strategies, and methodologies.
- Specific product/technology knowledge on a per-project basis.
- Experience in an outsourced environment.
- Exposure to working across multiple geographies and cultures.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills in English (Dutch and/or German language skills desirable).
