Job Description: The Health & Safety Advisor role at Boven Safety Management Ltd involves managing and delivering the internal Health and Safety management system for a key manufacturing client in Belfast. The position requires conducting safety audits, implementing safety policies, and providing training to promote a culture of safety. This is a 3-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. The role is part of a supportive team focused on spearheading EHS initiatives within a high-end manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and near misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures tailored to specific environments and operations.
  • Implement control measures from detailed risk assessments.
  • Manage a LOTO process with the plant.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety findings, including recommendations for improvements and compliance status.
  • Provide training sessions on safety practices, first aid procedures, and emergency response protocols to employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organisation.
  • Stay updated on current legislation, industry standards, and best practices related to health and safety.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3-years experience in a health and safety role or similar position is essential.
  • Strong skills in Health & Safety Management with experience in 45001.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).

Overview Operating across Ireland, UK and Europe, Boven Safety Management Ltd are a leading Health & Safety Consultancy to our leading multinational Construction, Fit-Out, & Manufacturing based clients. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to work with a key manufacturing client at their Belfast facility with the management and delivery of the internal Health and Safety management system. The role offers incredible variety across a high-end manufacturing facility based in Belfast. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our clients Health and Safety function in Belfast. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Group SHEQ Director, you will be part of a very supportive & forward thinking team spearheading EHS initiatives and driving culture in the business. This role is initially for a 3-month contract period , with the view of permanent with our client thereafter.
